You must be 18 years of age or older, have a high school diploma or GED certificate, have proof of eligibility to hire, have a valid Connecticut driver’s license with a good driving record. You must be able to meet the physical qualifications of the job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
New employees are required to sign a release authorizing us to perform a comprehensive background check including but not limited to criminal history, driving record, sex offender and abuse/neglect registries and references.
You should have a positive attitude, genuine respect for all people, and a strong desire to increase your knowledge and experience in all areas pertaining to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Candidates will also have good communication skills, and the ability to develop positive relationships with the individuals being supported and their families.
Positions include full-time, part-time, and weekends on all shifts.
New employees will be required to attend training, participate in web-based courses and pass tests for the purposes of training and certification to ensure that they meet the requirements of the position.
