Employment Opportunities


Employment programs provide the support people need to develop job skills and work experience through community-based vocational training and employment. Employment supports are based on the individualized career plan with the goal of securing and maintaining long-term employment in the community through a combination of on-site job training, job coaching and support to build and strengthen natural supports at the work site.

Types of Employment


  • Supported Employment

    Supported Employment offers supports to help people work as paid employees in work settings that also employ people without disabilities. These services help people find and apply for jobs and offer job coaching support to people once work is secured. This service includes individual and group supported employment. This service is designed to provide support and supervision but is not intended to provide ongoing long term 1:1 support to help a person complete their work activities.

  • Group Employment

    Group Employment is a career planning model that provides valuable on-the-job training to small groups of individuals by establishing natural supports within the workplace and preparing individuals for future job placement within the community.

  • School to Work Transition Services

    A program for students who are under 21 years old to experience a vocational program prior to aging out of high school. Students are assessed for their vocational abilities and interests and provided the opportunity to learn new skills while working in supported employment settings. collaborates with the sending schools to develop appropriate goals, provide periodic reports, and goal progress updates.
